Farmington Man Arrested for Attempted Sex Trafficking of a Minor

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A 24-year-old Farmington man is facing serious charges following his arrest Wednesday afternoon in St. Francois County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Christopher J. Short was taken into custody at approximately 1:30 p.m. on May 21. He is being held on patrol charges of attempted sex trafficking and enticement of a person less than 18 years old, with two counts listed. Short was booked into the St. Francois County Jail under a 24-hour hold while authorities continue their investigation.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol and local law enforcement have not released additional details about the incident at this time.
