Farmington Man Arrested on Warrant for Leaving Scene of Crash and DWI Charges

Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - A Farmington man is in custody following his arrest on a warrant related to a 2023 crash and alleged driving while intoxicated.

According to arrest records, 48-year-old Reginald Lovejoy was taken into custody on March 18, 2026 in St. Francois County, for failutre to appear. He is charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident involving property damage exceeding $1,000, along with a class B misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated in the 2023 crash.

Court documents state that on or about January 1, 2023, Lovejoy was operating a vehicle on South Jefferson Street in Farmington when he was involved in an accident that caused significant property damage. Authorities allege Lovejoy knew the crash had occurred but left the scene without providing his name, address, vehicle registration, or driver’s license information to the other party or law enforcement, as required by Missouri law.

Additional court records indicate Lovejoy is also charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.

A court hearing was scheduled for March 6, 2026, but Lovejoy failed to appear. As a result, a warrant was issued for his arrest on March 11, with bond set at $25,000 surety.

Lovejoy is currently being held in the St. Francois County Jail pending further court proceedings.
