Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - A Farmington man is facing felony charges after allegedly assaulting a 12-year-old boy last week.
According to the St. Francois County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were called to Chase Drive in rural Farmington on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, for a reported assault. Upon arrival, deputies learned that an adult male neighbor, identified as Jadiah Forshee, had allegedly punched the juvenile in the face with a closed fist, causing the boy to become dizzy. The child was evaluated at the scene by St. Francois County EMS and later taken by private vehicle to a local hospital for further examination. Deputies located Forshee at his home on Miranda Drive. During questioning, authorities say Forshee admitted to assaulting the boy. He was arrested and taken to the St. Francois County Detention Center.
On Thursday, August 7, the St. Francois County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued a warrant for Forshee, charging him with Assault 3rd Degree, Special Victim. He remains in custody on the felony warrant as well as a probation and parole violation warrant.
