Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - The Farmington Police Department has welcomed a new officer who will soon take on an important role in the Farmington School District.
Officer Arron Mueller joined the department this week and is set to become the district’s next School Resource Officer for the 2026–2027 school year.
Mueller is a 2012 graduate of the Mineral Area Law Enforcement Academy and brings years of law enforcement experience to the position. He began his career with the Scott City Police Department before later serving with the Bollinger County Sheriff’s Department.
Farmington Police Chief Chris Bullock says School Resource Officers play a key role in maintaining safety in schools while also helping build trust and strong relationships with students, teachers, and staff.
Mueller’s appointment comes as school districts continue to emphasize safety, visibility, and positive law enforcement interaction on campus.
He will officially begin his role with the Farmington School District during the upcoming 2026–2027 school year.
