Farmington R-7 to Host “Meet the Candidates” Night March 19

Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - The Farmington R-7 School District will host a Meet the Candidates Night on Thursday, March 19, 2026, giving community members an opportunity to hear directly from candidates running for the Farmington R-7 Board of Education.

The event begins at 7 p.m. at Long Memorial Hall, located at 110 West Columbia Street in Farmington. Each board candidate will be given three minutes to introduce themselves and briefly explain why they are seeking election. In addition, Dr. Kyle Gibbs will present a short informational overview of Proposition Transfer, which will appear on the April 7 ballot. The presentation will outline the measure and provide school finance information to help voters make informed decisions. Following the formal program, light refreshments will be served. Attendees will also have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with candidates and district representatives about Proposition Transfer.

Community members are encouraged to attend and learn more about the candidates and issues before casting their ballots.
