Farmington to Hold Public Hearing July 9 on Ordinance Changes and Commercial Plat Request

Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - The City of Farmington will host a public hearing on Thursday, July 9, at 6 p.m. at Long Memorial Hall to gather public input on several proposed municipal code changes and a commercial development request.

Among the items scheduled for consideration are proposed amendments to Title IV of the Farmington Municipal Code concerning regulations for accessory buildings and structures. City officials will also consider deleting provisions related to off-premise directional signs for nonprofit organizations.

In addition to the ordinance proposals, the Planning and Zoning Commission will review an application for a Final Record Plat for property located at 415 West Karsch Boulevard. The request, identified as Case FRP-26-0004, involves property currently zoned C-2 General Commercial District.

The application was submitted by Chad Carron of Taylor Engineering on behalf of Tom Boatright for the Rose Dale Plaza Subdivision.

Residents are encouraged to attend the hearing and provide comments on the proposed ordinances and development request before any action is taken.
