Farmington Woman Arrested on Multiple Felony Stealing Charges

St. Francois Co., MO. (KFMO) - A 48-year-old Farmington woman was arrested Thursday morning, April 30, 2026, on a warrant tied to multiple theft incidents.

Jaime McDonough is charged with nine separate felony counts of stealing following an investigation by the Farmington Police Department into alleged shoplifting at Menard’s in Farmington, Missouri. According to the probable cause statement, the incidents occurred between October 25, 2025, and January 9, 2026.

Authorities say McDonough is accused of stealing copper electrical wiring and extension cords in multiple incidents, with a total reported value of $738.71. Investigators allege the suspect concealed items in a handbag and exited the store through unauthorized exits.

Evidence in the case includes reports and surveillance materials provided by a Menard’s loss prevention officer, along with video stills and CCTV footage documenting each incident. Police also used vehicle identification and Flock camera technology to link McDonough to the crimes. Identification was further confirmed through a Missouri Department of Corrections photo and Probation and Parole records.

In one reported incident on January 6, 2026, McDonough was allegedly accompanied by an unidentified male.

Court records indicate an arrest warrant was requested in place of a summons due to concerns about community risk and the suspect’s prior criminal history. That history reportedly includes multiple felony convictions ranging from drug-related offenses to forgery.

McDonough’s bond was initially set at $75,000 but was later reduced Thursday to $25,000 surety.

A preliminary hearing in the case is scheduled for May 19, 2026.
