Farmington Woman Seriously Injured in St. Francois County Crash on Highway AA

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - One person was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon in St. Francois County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 3:15 p.m. along Highway AA near the 1900 block. Troopers say a 2007 Hyundai Elantra was traveling southbound when it traveled off the north edge of the roadway and overturned. A 36-year-old woman from Farmington, who was a passenger in the vehicle, suffered serious injuries. She was wearing a safety device at the time of the crash and was airlifted by Life Flight to Mercy Hospital South for treatment.

The driver, a 44-year-old man from Farmington, sustained minor injuries. He was not wearing a safety device and was transported by a trooper to Parkland Health Center in Farmington.

The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene.
