Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Route CC in Washington County Claims One Life, Injures Teen

Washington Co., Mo. (KFMO) - The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash that occurred Friday night in Washington County. 

According to crash reports, the incident happened at approximately 9:34 p.m. on southbound Route CC, just south of Fertile Ridge Road.

Authorities say a 2008 Harley Davidson Softail was traveling southbound when it crested a hill. For reasons still unknown, the motorcycle crossed the center line, left the roadway on the left side, and struck a small tree before overturning.

Both the driver and passenger were ejected from the motorcycle.

The driver, a 67-year-old man from Blackwell, Missouri, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 17-year-old male passenger also from Blackwell suffered moderate injuries. He was transported to Mercy Hospital South by the Washington County Ambulance District for treatment.

The motorcycle sustained extensive damage and was removed from the scene.
