FBI Announces Major Investment to Combat Violent Crime in St. Louis

St. Louis, Mo. (KFMO) - The Federal Bureau of Investigation is making a historic investment to address violent crime in St. Louis.

The city will soon receive one of the largest per capita increases of full-time agents and intelligence personnel in the nation, a move aimed at strengthening law enforcement efforts and public safety. The investment was secured with the support of Missouri U.S. Senator Eric Schmitt and will be paired with expanded joint operations involving multiple agencies.

The initiative is designed to enhance crime-fighting capacity in the region and reinforce ongoing efforts at the state level to curb violence and improve community security.
