Fire Alarm Prompts Evacuation at Farmington Civic Center

Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - Fire crews responded to a fire alarm at the Farmington Civic Center early Saturday afternoon. As a precaution, staff and patrons inside the building were evacuated while crews investigated.

According to Farmington Fire Chief Kyle Carter, the alarm was accidentally triggered by cooking activity in the concession stand. There was no fire, and the situation was quickly determined to be non-threatening.

No injuries were reported, and once the building was deemed safe, normal operations were able to resume.
