Fredericktown Council Votes to Impeach Mayor Parker

Fredericktown, Mo. (KFMO) - The Fredericktown City Council voted 4-2 Monday night to move forward with articles of impeachment against Mayor Travis Parker, a decision that drew strong reactions from residents.

Many in attendance voiced frustration and urged continued public involvement in the process. One resident encouraged the community to remain engaged and to remember how council members voted.

Following the meeting, Parker said he holds no ill will and will continue carrying out his duties on behalf of Fredericktown residents as the impeachment process moves ahead.
