Madison Co., Mo. (KFMO) - An arrest was made Thursday following a reported domestic disturbance that led to a drug investigation in Fredericktown.
According to authorities, deputies responded to the disturbance on January 8, 2026. During the response, a suspect identified as Ashton Roach fled from officers. After a short foot pursuit, Roach was apprehended by K-9 Officer Anderson. As a result of the investigation, deputies recovered approximately 7.1 ounces of suspected methamphetamine, along with drug paraphernalia and about $3,900 in U.S. currency. Officials say the amount of suspected methamphetamine recovered is consistent with trafficking-level offenses. Investigators also determined that a physical domestic assault occurred inside the residence prior to Roach fleeing from law enforcement.
Roach was taken into custody and placed on a 24-hour hold pending the issuance of a warrant. He is expected to face charges including Trafficking Drugs in the Second Degree, Domestic Assault in the Third Degree, and Resisting Arrest.
The investigation remains ongoing.
