Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - A free community event aimed at helping residents protect themselves from scams and financial abuse will take place Thursday, November 6, from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at the Park Hills Senior Center, located at 224 W. Main Street. The event is sponsored by Belgrade State Bank.
Those that attdend will learn how to recognize common scam tactics, identify warning signs of financial exploitation, and understand what steps to take if they or someone they know becomes a victim. Corporal Dallas Thompson with the Missouri State Highway Patrol will serve as the featured speaker, offering insight from real cases and current trends in fraud targeting seniors and families.
