Desloge, Mo. (KFMO) - The Gospel Light Freewill Baptist Outdoor Ministry has donated $500 to the North County Raider Backpack Program to help provide meals for children in the community.
The Raider Backpack Program works to ensure students in the North County School District have access to nutritious food outside of school hours, particularly on weekends and during school breaks. The donation will be used to help purchase food items that are distributed to children who may otherwise face food insecurity.
Leaders with the Gospel Light Freewill Baptist Outdoor Ministry say supporting local children and families is an important part of their mission, and they are pleased to be able to assist a program that directly benefits students in the area.
Organizers with the North County Raider Backpack Program expressed appreciation for the donation, noting that community support plays a vital role in keeping the program operating and meeting the needs of local families.
