Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - Although school has been back in session for about a month, Missouri State Highway Patrol officials say roadway safety remains a priority.
Corporal Dallas Thompson says many drivers are still adjusting to the back-to-school routine.
Thompson also reminds motorists that when a school bus stops and activates its stop arm, vehicles traveling in all directions must stop until the bus resumes movement.
The Highway Patrol urges drivers to stay alert in school zones, watch for children near roadways, and give school buses plenty of space.
