Inmate Dies After Being Transported to Washington County Hospital

Potosi, Mo. (KFMO) - An inmate at the Potosi Correctional Center has died after being transported to a local hospital.

According to the Missouri Department of Corrections, 29-year-old Aaron Collier was pronounced dead at 1:08 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Washington County Hospital. Collier was serving a 10-year sentence for second-degree assault and armed criminal action stemming from Jackson County.

He was received into the Missouri Department of Corrections on January 18, 2023. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death.
