Inmate Dies After Medical Emergency at ERDCC in Bonne Terre

Bonne Terre, Mo. (KFMO) - An inmate housed at the Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center in Bonne Terre has died after being transported to a St. Louis hospital.

According to the Missouri Department of Corrections, 63-year-old Fletcher Pryor was pronounced dead at 1:02 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

The Department of Corrections says Pryor was incarcerated at the Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center in Bonne Terre at the time of his death.

Officials say Pryor was serving a 25-year sentence for child molestation, a 25-year sentence for statutory sodomy, and a 25-year sentence for attempted statutory sodomy. The convictions originated in St. Louis County.

The Department of Corrections says Pryor was received into the Missouri prison system on January 13, 2014.

Pryor died of apparent natural causes.
