Iron County Man Charged in Child Sexual Abuse Investigation

Iron Co., Mo. (KFMO) - An Iron County man is facing multiple felony charges following a child sexual abuse investigation that began in mid-February.

According to the Iron County Sheriff’s Office, authorities were first notified on February 14, 2026, of allegations involving child sexual abuse in Iron County. Officials say the report originated from a 16-year-old juvenile who alleged that Mickey R. Duncan, Jr. committed acts of statutory rape and statutory sodomy.

After receiving the report, the Iron County Sheriff’s Office says it immediately launched an investigation. As part of that process, the Children’s Advocacy Center of Farmington was brought in during the early stages to assist investigators and help ensure a coordinated, victim-centered response.

Detectives with the sheriff’s office reportedly carried out a detailed investigation that included multiple victim and witness interviews, along with the execution of search warrants.

Authorities say that investigation led to Duncan’s arrest on March 17, 2026. He is currently being held in the Iron County Jail on no bond.

Formal charges filed against Duncan include one count of Child Molestation in the Second Degree, a Class B felony under Missouri law; one count of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, a Class C felony; three counts of Statutory Rape in the Second Degree, Class D felonies; four counts of Statutory Sodomy in the Second Degree, also Class D felonies; and one count of Incest, a Class E felony.
