Irondale Registered Sex Offender Faces Multiple Charges After Two Investigations

Washington Co., Mo. (KFMO) - An Irondale man is facing multiple felony charges following two investigations by the Washington County Sheriff's Office that date back to 2024.

Authorities say Thomas Daniel Pierce, a convicted sex offender, was arrested after detectives secured and executed 16 search warrants during the course of the investigations. Pierce is currently being held at the Washington County Jail on a no-bond status.

In the first case, investigators allege Pierce recorded a juvenile female while she was in the shower. He has been charged with Attempted Sexual Trafficking of a Child in the Second Degree and three counts of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. According to authorities, the failure to register charges stem from unreported Snapchat and TikTok accounts, which investigators say Pierce was required to disclose under Missouri’s sex offender registration laws. Bond in that case has been set at no bond.

In a separate but related investigation, detectives say they uncovered five additional items Pierce allegedly failed to register, including a Facebook account, a Gmail account, a phone number, a YouTube account, and another TikTok account. That investigation resulted in five additional counts of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. Bond in that case has also been set at no bond.

The Sheriff’s Office thanked the Missouri State Highway Patrol Digital Forensic Center for its assistance, along with the Washington County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for its partnership.

The investigation remains ongoing and authorities say additional charges are possible. Anyone aware of a juvenile who may have had contact with Pierce is encouraged to contact the Detective Bureau at 573-436-7670.
