Jefferson Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Three people were injured, including two motorcyclists who suffered serious injuries, in a three-vehicle crash Monday evening in Jefferson County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 6:34 p.m. on June 15, 2026 along westbound Highway MM west of Highway 21.
Troopers reported that a 2020 Ford EcoSport driven by an 83-year-old woman from Festus was traveling on the ramp from southbound Highway 21 to eastbound Highway MM. At the same time, two Kawasaki Ninja motorcycles were traveling westbound on Highway MM.
Investigators say the crash occurred when the driver of the SUV attempted to cross the westbound lanes in front of the motorcycles. The front of both motorcycles struck the front left side of the SUV.
Following the impact, all three vehicles began sliding. The motorcycles overturned and all vehicles traveled into the center median.
The motorcycle riders, a 20-year-old man from St. Peters and a 36-year-old man from St. Charles, suffered serious injuries. Both were transported by Rock Township Ambulance District to Mercy Hospital South for treatment.
The SUV driver sustained moderate injuries and was also transported to Mercy Hospital South.
The motorcycles, a 2025 Kawasaki Ninja and a 2014 Kawasaki Ninja, received extensive damage and were towed from the scene. The Ford EcoSport was totaled and also removed by a towing service.
