Jefferson County Man Pleads Guilty in Federal Child Exploitation Case

Jefferson Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A Jefferson County man has pleaded guilty in federal court in St. Louis in a child exploitation case involving a 13-year-old girl.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, 49-year-old Anthony A. Moore admitted Thursday to one count of receipt of child pornography in U.S. District Court in St. Louis. Prosecutors say Moore engaged in sex acts with the victim in 2023 and 2024, beginning when she was 13 years old and he was 46.

Authorities say the girl’s father uncovered the crimes after reviewing her cell phone and finding communications between Moore and his daughter, including requests for nude photos. Investigators also found images of the victim on Moore’s phone, according to the release.

Moore is scheduled to be sentenced June 24. Both the prosecution and defense have agreed to recommend a sentence of 20 years in prison.
