Fenton, Mo. (KFMO) - The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is investigating a double homicide after two Fenton men died following an assault and apparent shooting Thursday night.
Shortly after 9 p.m., deputies and emergency medical personnel were dispatched to the 1100 block of Morris Drive in Fenton for a report of an assault.
According to investigators, a man suffering from significant trauma and heavy bleeding arrived at a nearby residence seeking help. As deputies investigated the incident, they followed a blood trail to a residence on Saline Lane, where the trail continued inside the home.
Inside the residence, deputies discovered a second man suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.
Both victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment but later died from their injuries.
Investigators have identified the victims as 60-year-old Kenneth Queen and 45-year-old Timothy Brda Jr., both of Fenton.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office says the investigation remains active, and detectives continue to gather evidence and follow leads.
