Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Mourns the Loss of K9 Kane

Jefferson Co., Mo. (KFMO) - The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the loss of K9 Kane, who passed away suddenly at home Sunday night.

Kane served alongside Deputy Marc Gibson and was a loyal partner, protector, and familiar presence within the community. In addition to his work in law enforcement, Kane was well-known and loved on the Seckman schools campus, where students and staff often interacted with him.

The Sheriff’s Office said Kane was not only a brave public servant but also a cherished member of the Gibson family. Deputies and community members joined in escorting Kane to his final resting place on Monday, honoring his years of service and dedication.
