Johnson’s Shut-Ins State Park to Host Easter Extravaganza April 4

Reynold's Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Families will have a chance to celebrate spring at Johnson’s Shut-Ins State Park during a free Easter Extravaganza planned for Saturday, April 4.

The event will be held from noon to 3 p.m. at the park’s North Day-Use Area, located at 148 Taum Sauk Trail in Middle Brook. Organizers say the afternoon will include a variety of activities for guests, including egg hunts, crafts, scavenger hunts and more.

Visitors are encouraged to take part in the event’s magical springtime theme. Guests can make their own fairy wings during the event or arrive already dressed as a favorite springtime character, such as a fairy or gnome.

Tote bags will be provided for participants taking part in the egg hunts, although guests are also welcome to bring their own bag or basket.

Johnson’s Shut-Ins State Park says the Easter Extravaganza is free and open to everyone.
