St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A former daycare worker accused of killing a 3-year-old child with autism has been granted bond.
On Monday, a St. Francois County judge set bond at $200,000 surety for 40-year-old Tiffany Hedrick, who has been held without bond for more than a month on a charge of second-degree murder in the death of Conrad Ashcraft. Court filings indicate Hedrick has already arranged for GPS monitoring, a condition of her release.
Hedrick was released on Monday. She will remain under house arrest with electronic monitoring, allowed to leave only between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. for work, court appearances, or meetings with her attorney. She is prohibited from unsupervised contact with children under 13.
Hedrick, who worked at Poppy’s Playhouse 2 in Park Hills, is accused of leaving Ashcraft under a weighted blanket, which investigators say led to his death by asphyxiation.
