Juvenile Seriously Injured in Crash Involving Jefferson County SWAT Vehicle Near Farmington

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A juvenile was seriously injured Wednesday evening in a crash involving a Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office SWAT vehicle on Highway 67 near Farmington.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, the SWAT vehicle was carrying deputies returning from a training exercise when the collision occurred. The deputies were not injured.

Officials say the juvenile, who was a passenger in another vehicle involved in the crash, was airlifted by helicopter to a hospital with serious injuries.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the incident and will release additional details as they become available.
