St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Hail larger than golf balls caused widespread damage in Farmington during early morning storms on Monday.
Farmington City Administrator Greg Beavers says the storm damaged dozens of city vehicles across the city.
The St. Francois County Sheriff’s Department also sustained damage during the storm. Sheriff Jeff Crites told the St. Francois County Commission on Tuesday that approximately a dozen department vehicles were damaged by hail.
In addition to vehicle damage, the sheriff’s department building suffered structural impacts, including damage to the roof and several skylights.
No injuries have been reported, but officials continue to assess the full extent of the damage following the severe weather.
