Potosi, Mo. (KFMO) - A Potosi man is facing multiple felony charges after a traffic stop led to the discovery of a stolen vehicle and suspected narcotics.
According to the Potosi Police Department, an officer conducted a traffic stop on April 23, 2026, on Healthway Drive involving a vehicle that had been reported stolen out of Illinois. The driver was identified as Jeremy Lukefahr of Potosi and was taken into custody at the scene.
During the investigation, authorities say Lukefahr was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine.
A warrant was later issued charging Lukefahr with receiving stolen property, tampering with a motor vehicle, and possession of a controlled substance. His bond has been set at $100,000 cash only.
The case remains under investigation.
