Leadington, Mo. (KFMO) - A woman from Poplar Bluff was arrested early Tuesday morning after Leadington Police discovered suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia during a routine patrol stop.
According to the Leadington Police Department, the incident happened at approximately 4:29 a.m. on March 24, 2026, at Super Suds Car Wash, located at 10 Chat Street in Leadington.
Police say an officer on patrol noticed a 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe parked at the business with a female driver slumped over the steering wheel and appearing unresponsive.
The officer was able to wake the woman, who reportedly appeared disoriented and confused. When asked for identification, police say the driver handed over an ID card belonging to Kelsey Makayla Goodale.
Further investigation determined the woman’s true identity was Kelsie Jesha Armor of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
According to police, Armor was detained and officers conducted a search of the vehicle. During that search, investigators reportedly located Armor’s Missouri driver’s license, a black box containing numerous pills, a plastic bag with a rock-like substance, a weighing scale, and a red straw with residue inside the center console.
Authorities say all items were collected and secured as evidence.
Central Dispatch later confirmed Armor also had an active warrant out of Wayne County for possession of a controlled substance involving amphetamine, with no bond.
Armor was transported to the St. Francois County Jail for processing and later turned over to jail staff.
Police say the evidence was photographed and placed into an evidence locker before being submitted to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crime Lab for further testing and analysis.
Formal charges related to the substances found would likely depend on the results of that lab testing.
