Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - Mineral Area College held a groundbreaking ceremony Monday morning for its new Athletic Complex Building, a major addition set to enhance facilities for student athletes and fans on the Park Hills campus.
The new building will be located just north of the soccer field. College officials say the complex is designed to improve both athlete support and the overall game-day experience. Plans include restrooms and concessions for spectators, home and visitor locker rooms, specialized training rooms, and office space for coaches in Soccer, Track and Cross Country, and Golf. MAC President Dr. Joe Gilgour said the new facility will address a significant need for the college’s growing athletic programs, which serves nearly 100 students.
The project is expected to boost comfort and convenience for athletes, staff, and community members attending games and events. Construction is underway, and the complex is scheduled for completion in 2026.
