Madison County Crash Sends Six to Hospital After Vehicle Strikes Utility Pole

Madison Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Six people, including four children, were injured Wednesday morning in a single-vehicle crash in Madison County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 10:50 a.m. on May 27, 2026 at U.S. Highway 67 and Highway A in Madison County.

Troopers reported that a 2024 Kia Sorento traveling northbound swerved to avoid crossing traffic, ran off the roadway, and struck a utility pole.

The driver, a 36-year-old woman from Oshkosh, Wisconsin, suffered minor injuries and was transported by EMS to Madison Medical Center.

Passengers in the vehicle also sustained minor injuries, including a 27-year-old woman and four children ages 1, 4, 4, and 10. All occupants were reportedly wearing safety devices at the time of the crash and were transported to Madison Medical Center for treatment.

The Kia Sorento was totaled in the crash and was towed from the scene.
