Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - Mineral Area College (MAC) is continuing its mission to provide excellent and affordable education, transforming lives and strengthening the local workforce by preparing highly skilled and employable graduates.
MAC’s commitment to educational excellence relies on offering programs that meet industry standards and adapt to rapidly changing technology. The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) supports these efforts through a matching grant program, providing $3 for every $1 raised locally to enhance and expand career education opportunities.
To help maximize that opportunity, the Mineral Area College Foundation is appealing to the community to support its annual Enhancement Grant fundraising campaign, which runs now through December 31, 2025. The campaign funds state-of-the-art equipment, curriculum development, and training for students in MAC’s career and technical programs. This year’s campaign launched with the college’s inaugural President’s Ball: All In For MAC, raising the first $50,000 toward the goal.
MAC President Dr. Joe Gilgour says the community’s continued support will help the college remain on the leading edge of workforce preparation.
