Park Hills Schedules Special Flood Debris Pickup for Elvins Residents

Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - The City of Park Hills is working to assist residents in the Elvins area as they recover from recent flooding by organizing special debris pickup days and providing temporary dumpster access for cleanup.

City officials say the special pickups are intended for construction and demolition materials that were damaged during the flooding.

The special pickup dates are scheduled for:
• Thursday, March 12, 2026
• Thursday, March 19, 2026
• Thursday, March 26, 2026

Residents who need immediate access to dumpsters for cleanup can use the dumpsters located at the Park Hills Parks and Recreation building at 408 Front Street. The dumpsters will be available from March 6 through March 13.

Officials say the Thursday pickups are strictly for flood-damaged construction and demolition debris. Regular household trash service will still take place every Wednesday as scheduled.

Residents are asked to place debris for Thursday pickups in the same area where they normally place their household trash for collection.

City leaders say the effort is part of a broader push to help residents recover and rebuild following the flooding, and they appreciate the community’s cooperation during the cleanup process.
