Missing Bonne Terre Teen Safely Located

Bonne Terre, Mo. (KFMO) - A 13-year-old girl reported missing earlier this week in Bonne Terre has been safely located.

The Bonne Terre Police Department announced Thursday morning that Penelope Loeb has been found safe following an active runaway and missing juvenile investigation.

Penelope was last seen Tuesday evening, May 26, at approximately 8 p.m. at her residence in Bonne Terre. Bonne Terre officers, along with the FBI, had been working around the clock in an effort to locate her safely.

The Bonne Terre Police Department thanked the public, surrounding law enforcement agencies, and everyone who shared information and assisted during the investigation.

Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing and no additional details are being released at this time.
