Governor Kehoe to Sign Missouri First Map Into Law Sunday

Jefferson City, Mo. (KFMO) - Governor Mike Kehoe announced he will sign House Bill 1, known as the Missouri First Map, on Sunday, September 28.

The legislation was passed during the Second Extraordinary Session of the One Hundred Third General Assembly’s First Regular Session. The bill establishes updated congressional districts for Missouri and was approved by lawmakers on September 12.

In the same session, legislators also passed House Joint Resolution 3, the “Protect Missouri Voters” amendment, which amends the state’s initiative petition process.

Governor Kehoe called the special session on August 29 to address both issues.
