Motorcycle Crash in Iron County Sends Two to Hospitals

Iron Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Two Perryville residents were injured Saturday afternoon following a motorcycle crash in Iron County.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 1:15 p.m. on February 28, 2026, along Missouri Highway 221, about three miles north of Pilot Knob.

Troopers say a 2012 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling southbound when it ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned. Both the 68-year-old male driver and a 68-year-old female passenger were ejected from the motorcycle during the crash.

The driver sustained moderate injuries and was transported by Air Evac to Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis for treatment. The female passenger suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Parkland Health Center in Farmington.

Both individuals were reported to have been wearing safety devices at the time of the crash.

The motorcycle sustained moderate damage and was removed from the scene.
