St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred at approximately 2:40 p.m. on May 16 along southbound Davis Crossing Road north of Missouri 32 in St. Francois County.
According to the crash report, an 18-year-old Park Hills man operating a 2000 Yamaha 125 motorcycle failed to yield to a southbound 2012 Buick Enclave driven by a 23-year-old woman from Farmington. The motorcycle struck the front of the SUV.
The motorcycle sustained extensive damage and was removed by the owner from the scene. The Buick Enclave received minor damage and was driven away.
Troopers reported the motorcyclist was not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash. He suffered moderate injuries and was transported by the St. Francois County Ambulance District to Mercy Hospital South for treatment.
The driver of the Buick was reported to have been wearing a safety device and was not listed as injured.
