Fredericktown, Mo. (KFMO) - Authorities have released the names of two men taken into custody following an early-morning traffic stop in Fredericktown on Thursday, August 7.
Police say 25-year-old Moises DeLaCruz Valencia was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated after officers, with the Fredericktown Police Department, stopped the vehicle around 1:30 a.m. His passenger, 33-year-old Justino Morales Cruz, was also found to be noticeably intoxicated. Both men were placed on a 12-hour safekeeping hold at the Madison County Jail. A records check revealed one of the men had previously been deported.
Madison County Sheriff Nic Adams contacted U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), which issued a 48-hour detainer for both men. They remain in custody awaiting transfer to federal authorities.
