Jefferson Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Jefferson County Sheriff Dave Marshak has announced the arrest and charging of a Pacific man following investigations into several burglary and stealing incidents that allegedly victimized multiple Jefferson County residents.
Authorities say Nicholas Chapman of Pacific is charged with numerous felonies, including Burglary - 1st Degree, several counts of Burglary - 2nd Degree, Stealing a Motor Vehicle, Attempted Burglary - 1st Degree, Property Damage - 1st Degree, Damage to a Motor Vehicle with Intent to Steal, two counts of Stealing a Firearm, and multiple stealing-related offenses.
Chapman also faces misdemeanor charges including Property Damage - 2nd Degree, Stealing, and Stealing Less Than $150.
Investigators believe the crimes occurred between April 11 and April 15, 2026.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, detectives began investigating after receiving a burglary report involving a residence where Chapman had previously completed rehab work earlier in the month. Investigators allege Chapman later returned to the home during the early morning hours of April 11 and burglarized the residence.
Additional burglary, stealing, and vehicle-related incidents were reported in the following days, leading investigators to connect Chapman to multiple crimes throughout the county.
Chapman is currently being held in the Jefferson County Jail without bond.
