Park Hills Teen Injured in Early Morning Crash South of Cherokee Pass

Madison Co., Mo. (KFMO) - An 18-year-old woman from Park Hills was injured early Saturday morning in a crash along U.S. Highway 67, four miles south of Cherokee Pass in Madison County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 6:25 a.m. when a southbound 2016 Ford Focus driven by a 19-year-old man from Piedmont traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck an embankment, and overturned. The female passenger suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Madison Medical Center in Fredericktown. Troopers say neither the driver nor the passenger was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene.
