St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Parkland Health Center served as the signature sponsor of the American Heart Association’s annual Red Out Game, an event aimed at raising awareness and funds to fight heart disease and stroke.
As part of a friendly competition, students from Farmington High School and North County High School sold Heart Walk T-shirts, with proceeds benefiting the American Heart Association’s lifesaving programs and research. Parkland Health Center also raised $4,516 in support of heart health initiatives. During the Red Out Game at North County High School, Michael Reed, clinical education specialist with Parkland Health Center, presented the donation and spoke with attendees about heart health, including the importance of CPR education.
Parkland Health Center thanked the students, school staff, and community members who participated in the event, noting that community involvement plays a key role in advancing efforts to prevent and treat heart disease and stroke.
