Perryville, Mo. (KFMO) - Perry County School District 32 voters approved Proposition K.I.D.S. during Tuesday's election, clearing the way for the district to move forward with plans to construct a new, modern Perryville High School.
District officials say the passage of the proposition marks a significant investment in the future of education in Perry County and will provide students with an updated learning environment designed to serve the community for generations.
Superintendent Dr. Fara Jones thanked everyone who participated in the election and throughout the planning process.
"To every voter, parent, staff member, and community partner who engaged in this process, asked questions, and showed up at the polls, thank you. We take the trust you have placed in us very seriously, and we are committed to executing these plans with complete transparency, fiscal responsibility, and an unwavering focus on our kids," Jones said.
