Potosi, Mo. (KFMO) - The City of Potosi is pausing all utility shut-offs for the months of December 2025 and January 2026 to help residents maintain stability through the winter.

City officials say that customers with overdue accounts will not face disconnection during this two-month suspension. However, the city emphasizes that this is not a forgiveness program. All charges will continue to accumulate based on usage, and full balances will be due in February once the suspension ends. Residents are encouraged to continue making payments, even partial payments, to avoid facing a large bill when the shut-off pause concludes.
