Potosi Woman Arrested After Vehicle Stolen From Hospital Parking Lot

Washingon Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A Potosi woman has been arrested after authorities say she stole a vehicle from the parking lot of Washington County Memorial Hospital.

According to law enforcement officials, officers were dispatched to the hospital on monday, March 9, 2026 after a victim reported that her vehicle had been stolen from the parking lot. The victim told officers she had parked the vehicle and when she returned it was gone.

Investigators quickly began working the case and reviewed surveillance video from the area. Through that video, officers were able to identify a suspect.

Authorities say the Washington County Sheriff’s Office then responded to a location where the suspect was known to frequent. Deputies located the stolen vehicle there and detained the suspect until the investigating officer arrived.

The suspect, identified as Misty Dunn of Potosi, was taken into custody without incident.

Officials say the vehicle was recovered within approximately one hour of the theft being reported.

Dunn has been charged with Stealing, Motor Vehicle/Watercraft/Aircraft, and her bond has been set at $25,000 as the case moves forward through the court system.
