Precision Eye Care Tournament Gives Back to Local High School Tennis Programs

Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - The annual Precision Eye Care Tennis Tournament continues to make a difference for local student-athletes by supporting area high school tennis programs.

Dr. John Fitz of Precision Eye Care recently presented checks for $908 each to the Farmington High School and North County High School tennis programs. The donations were accepted by coaches Scott Kuetzer, John England, and Courtney Stufflebean and will help cover team expenses that fall outside of each school's athletic budget.

Each year, registration fees collected from players participating in the Precision Eye Care Tennis Tournament are earmarked specifically for the local high school tennis programs, ensuring the event directly benefits student-athletes in the community.

This year's tournament was held June 11 through June 14 at Engler Park and attracted players from 22 cities across three states, making it one of the tournament's strongest years.

Tournament Director Julie Powers said the event was an overwhelming success, thanks to strong participation and community support.

Planning is already underway for next year's tournament, which is scheduled to return to Engler Park June 10 through June 13, 2027.

The annual tournament has become a tradition of supporting local tennis while bringing players from across the region to Farmington, benefiting both youth athletics and the local community.
