Pilot Knob, Mo. (KFMO) - Four people, including three children, were injured in a two-vehicle crash Saturday evening in Pilot Knob, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 6:15 p.m. Saturday, July 25, at the intersection of Missouri Highway 21 and Missouri Highway 221 in Iron County.
According to the Highway Patrol, a southbound 1996 Dodge Ram was stopped in traffic while preparing to make a left turn when it was struck from behind by a southbound 2007 Chevrolet Aveo.
The driver of the Dodge, a 20-year-old man from Park Hills, suffered minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to Iron County Medical Center. A 16-year-old male passenger from Farmington also sustained minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to the same hospital.
The driver of the Chevrolet, a 27-year-old woman from Ironton, suffered minor injuries. Two children riding in the Aveo, a 3-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl, both from Ironton, also sustained minor injuries. The woman and both children were transported by fire department personnel to Iron County Medical Center.
The Dodge Ram sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene. The Chevrolet Aveo was totaled and removed by a family member.
