Fredericktown, Mo. (KFMO) - The Ozark Regional Library in Fredericktown will host a free Emergency Preparedness Program tonight, Thursday, February 26.
The event will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Fredericktown branch and will feature a presentation by a representative of the American Red Cross. The program is open to the public.
During the presentation, attendees will learn about the importance of being prepared for emergencies and receive practical tips to help keep themselves, their families, and their communities safe during a crisis.
Library Director Michelle Swane says programs like this help people stay organized and better prepared when a major event occurs.
The Red Cross representative will also discuss the organization’s role in disaster response and recovery efforts, explaining how it provides assistance and support to communities in times of need.
The program is designed for anyone interested in improving their emergency readiness, whether they are learning about preparedness for the first time or simply looking for a refresher.
Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions and speak directly with an experienced Red Cross professional.
