Ste. Genevieve Co, Mo. (KFMO) - Motorists in Ste. Genevieve County are being advised of an upcoming temporary closure along Route EE as contractor crews complete railroad maintenance work in the area.
According to transportation officials, Route EE will be closed between Burks School Road and Genevieve Church Road while crews perform maintenance near the railroad crossing.
Weather permitting, the closure will begin Monday, May 11, 2026 at 8 a.m. and continue through Tuesday, May 12 at 4 p.m.
The work zone will be marked with signs, and drivers are encouraged to use caution when traveling near the area and plan alternate routes if necessary.
Officials say the maintenance work is necessary to improve railroad crossing conditions and ensure safer travel for motorists.
