Route N to Close for Culvert Replacement in Ste. Genevieve and Perry Counties

Ste. Genevieve Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Drivers in Ste. Genevieve and Perry counties should prepare for temporary roadway closures along Route N as culvert replacement work gets underway.

According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, crews will be replacing several culverts beneath the roadway along a stretch of Route N from Route NN in Ste. Genevieve County to Peaceful Valley Drive in Perry County.

Weather permitting, the work is scheduled for Tuesday, March 10 through Friday, March 13. Crews will be on-site daily from 7:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.

During construction hours, Route N will be open to local traffic only. Through traffic is encouraged to seek alternate routes to avoid delays.

MoDOT officials say the work zone will be clearly marked with signage. Motorists traveling near the area are urged to slow down, remain alert for workers and equipment, and use extreme caution.

Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra travel time while the improvements are being completed.
